Greg Colati and Jessica Branco Colati are the principal consultants behind Archives and Information Associates (AIA). With over 50 combined years experience working – formally and informally – with archives, special collections, and cultural heritage institutions in both the US and Europe, the principals of AIA have worked on just about every kind of archives project you can imagine.
Greg Colati, MLIS, MA (American History)
Greg is the Assistant University Librarian for Archives, Special Collections and Digital Curation at the University of Connecticut where he oversees the archival and special collections programs, digital capture, management and curation, the conservation program and Greenhouse Studios, a scholarly design studio at the UConn Library. Greg has been the Coordinator of Digital Initiatives at the University of Denver, the Head of Special Collections at The George Washington University, and Director of the Digital Collections and Archives at Tufts University.
Jessica Branco Colati, MLIS
Jessica is a Subject Matter Expert for Library services at Iron Mountain. She helps libraries and archives deal with storage, collections management and preservation issues in academic libraries across the country. She has been the Head of Preservation Services at the Northeast Document Conservation Center, the University Archivist at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and the Director of Digital Repository Services at the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries. Jessica has also worked as an independent consultant with libraries, collaboratives, and cultural heritage institutions, as an archivist at the Archives Center of the Smithsonian Museum of American History, as a project coordinator at the Digital Collections and Archives at Tufts University.
